HACPAC Is Happening!
Imagine a day of shopping and dining in Downtown Hackensack. Then you roll over to State Street, just off Main, to the former Masonic Temple, now in its new life: the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC). You sit down in an intimate theater for some terrific entertainment. Cool idea, huh?
Now it’s a reality! HACPAC is home for new artists (playwrights, musicians, directors, choreographers, and visual artists) AND professional theater companies and arts organizations. Settle in for premier performers, including Broadway and Hollywood stars, as well as Grammy-award winning artists.

The Hackensack Meridian Health Theater
Take 224 comfortable seats and a brand-new theater, add innovative programming, and you’ve got the newest performance space in northern New Jersey. Its inaugural PAC the House Series features folks you won’t find on other area stages: vocalist Jane Monheit and singer/pianist Tony DeSare; R&B’s Alyson Williams with the Nat Adderley Jr. Trio; English rocker John Waite; Daily Show comedians Roy Wood Jr. and Michelle Wolf; and Mandy Gonzalez of Hamilton.

Art Gallery
Before you take your seat for your show, check out The Gallery at HACPAC for interesting art exhibits and performance events. It may even be coordinated with the themes of the shows in the theater. You can stop by weekdays and special exhibit dates, as well as during performances. Dive in to some thought-provoking art!
Atlantic Street Park
Talk about pedestrian-friendly! Sit down in Atlantic Street Park and appreciate the lush grass and shade trees. In warm weather, you may catch one of these: Shakespeare in the Park, Movies under the Stars, yoga, Zumba, concerts, recitals, or a lunchtime event. And while you’re there, check out 94 State Street, right across the street. It’s the first new residential building in downtown in 30 years. (If you lived here, you’d be home now.)
