Even more surprises planned for SACKtoberfest

Only a few more days ‘til the work week is done and SACKtoberfest begins. This Saturday, October 15, from 1 PM-8 PM at Atlantic Street Park, is the German-inspired festival with a Hackensack twist. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

Food Trucks:
The Brownie Bar, Cousins Maine Lobster, Empanada Mania, Magic Mike’s Smoked Meats, Master Asador, Mozzarepas, Oxtail Gravy Truck, and RainBao

Local Breweries:
Alementary Brewing Co., Bolero Snort Brewery, Brix City Brewing, Ghost Hawk Brewing Company and Hackensack Brewing

Artisan Vendors:
Asanti’s Jewels, Athena Flora Portraits, The Botanical Room, Cozy Customs and The Rose Hammer

Main Street Merchants:
Barking on the BLVD, Coffee Break, Evoli Pizzeria, Greek Island Grill and Sea Moss Factory

Entertainment:
1pm-2:45 PM: DJ Covey (Top 40 open format)
2:45-4:30 PM: DJ Keefe D (Latin, Disco, Pop)
4:30-6:30 PM: Awesome 2 and guests (Soul, Classic Hip Hop, Rock, House)
6:30-8:00 PM: Total Eclipse [Closing Band]

As if that wasn’t enough…

We have three more spectacular additions to the fest.

Hacktivator: 4:30-6:30 PM
Comedic performers will literally be creating an on-the-spot, personalized comedy improv performance and making mad lib stories come to life—all with the help of you, the audience.

Stories on Main Docu Series: 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM
Back for an encore performance from a successful summer showing comes four inspiring immigrant tales from our very own Main Street merchants. The mini-documentaries will be shown right inside the HACPAC theater for two showings.

Main Street Mural Art: 3:30 – 5:30 PM
Share your personal Main Street moments and help create a mural designed by hometown artist favorite Amrisa Niranjan. To complete this SACK-terpiece, grab a tile, and creatively respond to a prompt with words, images, or color. As the tiles are filled in, your Main Street moments will actually be integrated into the art, and the mural will be revealed right before your eyes. The piece will be unveiled at the event and will be spotlighted on https://downtownhackensack.org/story-map. Facilitated by coLAB Arts.
