Have you seen our Stories on Main Street Docu Series?

The SACK Business Alliance began a Downtown Hackensack tribute for local merchants with our Stories on Main Docu Series. Four, five-minute documentaries focusing on the inspiring tales of local immigrant business owners that was made possible with the help of NNJCF (Northern New Jersey Community Foundation) and award-winning filmmaker Dana Glazer. The films premiered each week in August at the HACPAC’s Movies Under the Stars and then had an encore performance in October for SACKtoberfest. Currently all four of the following films are available online to watch right here on our Downtown Hackensack website.

Colombia Bakery Factory
The story of Nelfita Rodas, who came to the US from Ecuador and then later went to Colombia to study culinary arts to help carve out her own delicious haven on Main Street.

El Turco Grill
A family restaurant known for its signature Mediterranean/Turkish food run by husband and wife Yusuf and Tugce Ural. Try a hot cup of their Turkish tea when you stop by.

Colombian Fashion Boutique
Aida Yungasaca’s boutique offers an array of beauty supplies and fashion to bring out the true beauty of women, imported right from Colombia.

Coffee Break
Domenico & Marco Daniele, a father-son duo opened this downtown Italian staple that serves up authentic Italia dishes, treats and of course, their rich cappuccinos with a Main Street twist.
