SACKtoberfest Comes to Downtown, Saturday, Oct 9

With the arrival of autumn, you can see business is anything but usual in The SACK. Dining. Entertainment. Shopping. All the sights and sounds. It’s finally coming together here. And what better way to celebrate a triumphant return to greatness than with the return of our fall classic to Downtown. SACKtoberfest—next Saturday, October 9, from 1 to 8 pm, at Atlantic Street Park. Sponsored by The SACK Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack, this one-day event celebrates the best of local food, brews and live music. There’s something for everyone!

On tap will be some of New Jersey’s premier microbreweries, which include Hackensack Brewing, Brix City Brewing and Ghost Hawk Brewing Co. From pale ales to crisp lagers to robust stouts, sip and savor an endless array of craft brews.

Bro-Ritos will be serving up their signature Mexican cuisine. Dig into a succulent sampling of Magic Mike’s Smoked Meats. See what delicious surprises are cooking up from R & H Catering Co. You can even treat yourself to a Mister Softee.

Headlining the entertainment will be the iconic sound of the 70s, the GQ band, performing all of their greatest hits including, Disco Nights (Rock-Freak). The funkmasters of Fillet of Soul will be belting out 70s and 80s hits from artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Sly and the Family Stone, The O’Jays, and Al Green. DJ Covy will be on hand to mix it up with hot pop hits. There will also be a surprise guest appearance from one of the hottest Spanish bands, playing sizzling sounds from Santana and other Latin favorites.

This will surely be a memorable Main Street event. So come out to Atlantic Street Park Saturday, October 9 and spend a day with friends and family celebrating the best of Downtown while showing Jersey that The SACK is officially back!
