(R) Virtual-An Evening of Poetry with Rosemary Flowers Jackson

You are cordially invited to join Rosemary Flowers-Jackson via Zoom as she reads from her published book of poetry, The Preacher’s Wife and Other Selected Poems. Rosemary is a Bergen County native, born and raised in Hackensack, who worked forty years as a history teacher in the Hackensack School District. The book reflects her varied roles as a teacher, church leader, mother/grandmother, community activist, and woman. Her more recent poems, added to this revised edition, address major challenges she faced in 2018, including a stage 4 Ovarian Cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy and the untimely loss of her husband from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Through it all, her faith has kept her and allowed her to use writing as a means to give voice to her inner turmoil.
